When Lola arrives in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, she finds it is not only the mosquitoes that find her blood irresistible.
When Lola's violent predelections on the soccer field get her the boot from her professional team, she seeks refuge with her best friend Jeremy in sultry Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Little does she know, a chilling darkness lurks beneath the town's picturesque façade. A brood of vampires, preying on the vulnerable homeless population, have somehow made it onto the island and taken hold, preying on the vulnerable homeless population. Jeremy, alongside the audacious, crucifix-wearing supervising physician Lucia, are their unlikely protectors. Lola soon discovers that her very blood is a tantalising lure, both to the relentless mosquitoes and the sinister vampires haunting the island's shadows. Lola's soccer skills and survival instincts collide in this sidesplitting showdown against the undead.

Maeve Sleibhin is an 80 kg Saanen goat of exceptional style and grace, who travels the world peripatetically with her husband Billy and their three kids, none of whom share her enthusiasm for Aristotelian philosophy, but none of whom have as of yet been able to escape the iron grasp of its implacable logic. Impending adolescence promises to be somewhat climactic (and in this regard we have some concerns for the impact of her daughter, Sybille, on all variants of Aristotelian syllogisms and their adherents). While awaiting her impending doom, Maeve appreciates a good glass of wine, some cheese, and wilted flowers of all varieties.
